The history of böhm Kabel is characterized by Georg Böhm's vision, courage and tireless commitment. After many years of experience in the "cable business", he decided to make a fresh start. In his wife Elke, he not only found a loyal supporter on his path to independence, but also a force that had his back over the years.
On January 2, 1989, shortly before his 40th birthday, Georg founded the family business böhm Kabeltechnik GmbH with Eberhard Stöcker at his side as an authorized signatory. At the beginning, office and warehouse space was rented in a former florist's wholesale business at Hall-Straße 8 in Iserlohn, with a small team of two employees and one part-time employee.
The sad loss of Eberhard Stöcker in 2009 was a major event, but despite this challenge, the company continued on its path.
The rapid growth of böhm Kabel quickly required larger premises. The original cable warehouse was converted into additional office space, while the former warehouse and machinery had to be relocated to various warehouses, first to Piepenstockstraße and later to Baarstraße. This development led to the spatial separation of administration and warehouse and later the logistics center.
in 1997, the company finally found a suitable plot of land in the Kalthof district of Iserlohn, on which the modern logistics center Logistik I | Kalthofer Feld was built.
After training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant, Georg's son Carsten joined the family business in 1992. Just four years later, in 1996, he was appointed Managing Director and has played a key role in shaping the corporate culture and strategy ever since. The company continues to develop thanks to Georg's in-depth experience and Carsten's innovative spirit.
In 2006, daughter Nadine followed her brother into the company after completing her business studies. Her appointment as an authorized signatory in 2017 helped to further develop the company and secure its future, before she was also appointed Managing Director in 2023. Today, she is responsible for HR management and marketing.
Against the backdrop of forward-looking development, Georg Böhm, founder and advisory Managing Director, attached great importance to the continuous involvement of his children. Today, they share responsibility with him and continue the vision of the company in the 2nd generation.

For 30 successful years , böhm Kabel has stood for continuous growth and innovative strength. böhm Kabel is continuing its expansion course with the takeover of a cable logistics center in Iserlohn and is expanding its capacities with the Logistics II |Zollhaus site. This strategic orientation underlines the company's presence in the market and expands its range of logistics services in a targeted manner.
2024
Relocation of our administration - To celebrate our 35th anniversary , our office team is now moving closer to logistics. We have moved our administration from Hall-Str. 8 to the new Logistics II | Zollhausstrasse 6 location. This change will bring us significant advantages by shortening distances and improving cooperation between the teams.
